The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, Platform Management, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.

Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) Architecture develops consistent architecture strategy and delivers safe, secure and consistent architecture solutions for all EFT supported business domains. EFT Architecture reduces technology risk by aligning EFT architecture solutions to architecture roadmap, enterprise principles, policies and standards.

The Senior Architect for EFT Compliance, Legal, Audit and Regulatory Relations (CLAR) Architecture is a key position reporting into the Principal Architect for CLAR Architecture. This position is responsible for setting key strategic architecture direction for enterprise platforms within the EFT CLAR portfolio. This position will initially be responsible for producing architectures for major deliverables in support of Compliance, Legal, Audit and Regulatory Relations technology areas, working closely with the LOB partners, Enterprise Data teams, CTOs and Application managers.

Responsibilities will include: 

  •  Working with the LOB business leaders, application managers, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, Infrastructure Architects, and project teams to create and implement data solution architecture components.
  • Assist in the creation of an architecture strategies and artifacts for key technology initiatives across CLAR domain areas within EFT, with initial & primary focus on the HR domain.
  • Responsible for designing solutions in accordance with corporate policies. Influence the application owners to ensure alignment with the architecture.
  • Provide architecture leadership to project teams and product owners tied to enhancements and new functionality
  • Ability to collaborate with a team of architects to create and implement solution architecture components while working closely with LOB partners, CTOs and Application managers.
  • Assist in the creation of architectural artifacts for key technology initiatives. Assist with the design of solutions in accordance with technology policies and architecture patterns. Influence the application owners to ensure alignment with the  architecture.
  • Conducts complex technology and system assessments for architecture solutions
  • Ensures applications adhere to established Wells Fargo standards, policies, methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Participates in the definition of future technology architecture and strategy.
  • Stays abreast of emerging technologies and capabilities in order to prepare and respond to customer needs and expectations.
  • Understands compliance and risk management requirements for supported areas.


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: systems, applications, or architecture planning
  • 3+ years of experience using an industry standard database modeling language
  • 10 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
  • 7+ years of experience in application & data architecture and solution design
  • 3 + years of experience working with an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) or Service Oriented Architecture Enabling (SOA) platform
  • 5 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
  • 5 + years of experience in architecture, development, implementation or support of client onboarding systems in a financial services environment
  • 3+ years of experience delivering ETL, data warehouse and data analytics capabilities on big-data architecture such as Hadoop
  • 3+ years of experience delivering Business Intelligence (BI), analytics and reporting using API Services architecture
